Connor Rakowski of Carbondale shot a 2-under-par 70 on Sunday and won the CGA Western Chapter Championship by four strokes at The Links at Cobble Creek in Montrose.
Rakowski, a golfer at Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Mont., finished the two-day tournament with a 7-under-par 137 total. The Basalt High School graduate shared the lead after the first round with Dean Clapp of Aurora and Drew Trujillo of Montrose.
Clapp, winner of the last two CGA Two-Man Team Championships with Jon Lindstrom, fired a 74 on Sunday and tied for second place at 141 with Mesa State College golfer Brandon Bingaman, who closed with a 68.
