Glenmoor CC Wins First Title

Glenmoor CC captured their first CWGA Club Team title thanks to solid play by team members Val Tassell, Nikki Coldiron, Carol Bertz and Deborah Beckman. In the ABCD team format, Glenmoor’s Val Tassell led the team with an 86, followed by Nikki Coldiron who shot an 87. Carol Bertz finished the day with a 95, which included making the only birdie for the Glenmoor foursome, and Deborah Beckman rounded out the team score with a 110 carding a par on the treacherous fourth hole. Combined, the team produced a total team score of 378. Although Glenmoor CC has competed in the CWGA Club Team Championship in years past, this is the first time that Tassell, Coldiron, Bertz and Beckman have entered the event. The Pinery CC took runner-up honors with a team score of 382, followed by Foothills GC and last year’s CWGA Club Team Champions The Meadows GC who tied for third place with team scores of 384. A team score of 386 from The Courses at Hyland Hills rounded out the top five.
