Kim Eaton of Riverdale GC and Tami Holt of Rifle Creek GC dominated the 2011 CWGA Brassie Championship with a combined low 36-hole score of 140, ten strokes ahead of the rest of the field. The dynamic twosome combined to shoot a one-under-par 71 in the first round, two strokes better than the two teams of Cindy Pallatino of CommonGround GC and Christie Austin of Cherry Hills CC and Saddle Rock’s Laurie Steenrod and The Pinery CC’s Lynn Larson. One birdie and an eagle helped the Eaton/Holt team find themselves with the first round lead. For day two, the team shot a three-under-par score of 69, making five birdies with only two bogeys. Nobody else made a run in the second round, so the duo easily secured their first CWGA Brassie title as a team. This was Tami Holt’s first Brassie victory while this was Kim Eaton’s sixth Brassie win.
Finishing in second were Pallatino and Austin with a combined score of 150. Close behind in third was Steenrod and Larson with a combined score of 151.
