Martin Laird, who still owns the Colorado State University men’s golf record for individual college victories with four, was among eight people and one team that will be inducted into the school’s athletic Hall of Fame this fall, CSU announced on Thursday.
Induction ceremonies are planned for Oct. 27 at CSU’s new on-campus football stadium.
Laird, a native of Scotland, earned All-American honors in 2003 (honorable mention) and 2004 (third team) and was a three-time All-Mountain West Conference pick. After his college days, Laird won the Denver Open in 2004 at Buffalo Run Golf Course, once on the Web.com Tour and three events on the PGA Tour — the 2009 Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open, the 2011 Arnold Palmer Invitational and the 2013 Valero Texas Open.
Laird, 34, has earned almost $15.5 million on the PGA Tour since 2007.
With the new inductees, there are 160 members in the CSU athletic Hall of Fame. Here are the 2017 inductees besides Laird:
