Clark (left), who won the Pac-12 individual title last spring at Boulder Country Club, placed 17th and earned $68,800 Sunday in the Sanderson Farms Championship, where he shared the lead after round 1.

The 2010 CGA Amateur champion, who landed a spot in the Sanderson Farms tournament via a sponsor exemption, posted rounds of 66-71-75-69 for a 7-under-par 281 total in Jackson, Miss. He made five birdies and two bogeys in Sunday’s final round. In Thursday’s opening 18, he recorded five straight birdies on the back nine and posted a 6-under 30 on that side to go with an eagle and two bogeys on the front nine. Overall for the week, Clark carded an eagle, 19 birdies, 10 bogeys and two double bogeys.

The former University of Oregon golfer finished 12 strokes behind champion Ryan Armour in Mississippi.

Clark has now competed in six PGA Tour events since going pro in June. He made the cut once prior to the Sanderson Farms, finishing 51st in the Quicken Loans National in early July.

On Tuesday, Clark will begin his Q-school second stage tournament in Murrieta, Calif.

— Jobe Still Eighth in Schwab Cup Standings: Colorado Golf Hall of Famer Brandt Jobe finished 46th Sunday in the PowerShares QQQ Championship in Thousand Oaks, Calif., but remains in the eighth spot in the Charles Schwab Cup Playoff standings with just the PGA Tour Champions season finale remaining.

Jobe carded rounds of 78-71-72 for a 5-over-par 221 total in Thousand Oaks, which left him 16 strokes behind winner Bernhard Langer, who prevailed in a playoff over Miguel Angel Jimenez for the 36th Champions victory of his career.

Meanwhile, the season ended on Sunday for former Castle Pines resident Esteban Toledo, who finished 40th in the QQQ and placed 50th in the Schwab Cup points. Only the top 36 players on the points list advance to the season-ending Charles Schwab Cup Championship Nov. 10-12 in Phoenix.
