The championship will run Monday through Wednesday at Plum Creek Golf & Country Club in Castle Rock.
Among those scheduled to compete on the boys side are Dillon Stewart of Fort Collins, who just won the individual title at the boys Junior America’s Cup, and Jake Welch of Highlands Ranch, who won a JGAC major earlier this month, the boys division of the Colorado Junior Amateur.
As for the girls, in the field are two members of last week’s Colorado team at the Girls Junior Americas Cup (Hailey Schalk of Erie and Lauren Lehigh of Loveland); Charlotte Hillary of Cherry Hills Village, who made the match play round of 32 at the California Women’s Amateur Championship; Katie Berrian of Castle Rock, girls winner of the recent Colorado Junior Am; and Eva Pett of Denver, who just finished sixth in the girls 13-14 division of the Optimist International Junior Golf Championships. Schalk won the Colorado Junior Match Play in 2016.
Emma Bryant of Aurora, the 2017 girls Junior Match Play champion, won’t defend her title as she’s competing in the Optimist International in Florida this week.
Round-of-32 matches for both boys and girls at Plum Creek will be contested on Monday, with the round of 16 and the quarterfinals on Tuesday, and the semifinals and finals on Wednesday.

Eva Pett of Denver tied for sixth out of 69 players on Thursday in the girls 13-14 division in Florida.
Pett shot rounds of 80-78-75 for a 17-over-par 233 total, which left her 17 strokes behind champion Thanchanok Iadpluem.
Ironically, Pett had narrowly qualified for the Optimist tournament in Florida, finishing tied for sixth last month at Meadow Hills Golf Course, where only seven players advanced. Last year as a 13-year-old, Pett finished fifth in the girls division of the Colorado Junior Amateur.
One other highlight from the Colorado perspective this week came from Rachel Penzenstadler of Centennial, who made a hole-in-one Thursday on the 141-yard 11th hole en route to a 33rd-place finish.
The third and final phase of the Optimist International — for boys 16-18 and girls 15-18 — will be held in Florida from Sunday through Wednesday. A combined 17 Coloradans are scheduled to compete in those tournaments.

The Colorado Junior Amateur marks the second major championship of the 2017 season for the Junior Golf Alliance of Colorado.
Krantz, the 2015 Colorado Junior PGA Championship winner, shot a 3-under-par 69 to take a one-stroke lead in the boys competition. The 18-year-old made four birdies and one bogey on the day.
Oliver Jack of Denver, the reigning 3A state high school champion who has committed to play for CU beginning in 2018, holds second place at 70 after a four-birdie round. Barrett Jones of Eagle also broke par on Monday, posting a 1-under 71.
Davis Bryant of Aurora, who won the first JGAC major of 2017, shares sixth place after a 73 on Monday.
In the girls tourney, Jordaan, winner of the North American Junior Amateur in January, made two birdies in a round of 7-over-par 79 on Monday. Pett likewise made two birdies on the day — both deuces — but suffered a setback with a triple-bogey 8 on No. 18, her ninth hole of the day.
Tied for third place at 80 after round 1 are Arielle Keating of Colorado Springs and Kaylynn Xia.
Both the 54-hole boys and girls tournaments will continue through Wednesday.

Europe had trailed after losing both the nine-hole foursomes and four-ball matches by 4.5-2.5 margins Saturday at CommonGround Golf Course in Aurora. But the Euros went undefeated in the first nine singles matches on Sunday (7-0-2) to change the momentum. Overall, Team Europe (pictured) outscored the U.S. 10-4 in the singles matches.
Three players went undefeated through the three sessions with Anju Ogi of the U.S. going 3-0, and teammate Eva Pett and Europe’s Caitlyn Chin finishing with 2-0-1 marks.
