City Park Golf Course turned the tournament’s lowest team score of 144 in the second round for a 296 total to win the CGA State Club Team Championship by five strokes at Vista Ridge Golf Club. City Park was led by individual scoring leader Henry Bissell (73-68″”141), and Mark Hirsch and Chuck Stary each contributed scores to the winning total. Finishing second at 301 was West Woods Golf Club led by Colorado Golf Hall of Famer Rick DeWitt (76-72″”148), with Brady Garr and Bob Schuler. Meridian Golf Club and Rolling Hills Country Club finished in a tie for third place at 305.
The two-day tournament was scored in a college format in which the team score each day was the total of the best two scores of the three team members.
